how did you write the things you wrote  

what made you leave without a note

was it a sin to know so much

or did you feel you'd lost your touch

how did you know the things you knew

what made you take a different view

was it a gift you got from god

or did some muse give you the nod

how did you think the things you thought

what were the demons that you fought

was someone there inside your head

or was it something that you read

how did you see the things you saw

what made you different from us all

was there a message in the end

why did you break instead of bend
